Emmbrook Walk community letter

Some residents have been in touch reporting site activity late into the evening on Friday 11th. This out-of-hours work was urgently required because a main foul sewer pipe had been struck and required repair. The repairs by Thames Water could only take place when the system was not at peak usage. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this emergency, but this issue required immediate attention.

Welcome to the community consultation website for the plans from Bovis Homes and Gleeson Developments for Matthewsgreen Farm.

This website provides information relating to the outline planning approval for 760 homes and associated infrastructure, including new shops and a primary school, at Matthewsgreen Farm, which was approved by Wokingham Borough Council in April 2015. The outline planning permission (Planning Application Number: O/2014/2242) can be viewed on the council website (www.wokingham.gov.uk/planning/services/search/).

The site is bordered on the southern edge by Matthewsgreen Road, on the east by Twyford Road and on the west by Toutley Road.

The first phase of development for 100 homes, and the associated infrastructure was approved in October 2015.

In November 2015, a Reserved Matters application was submitted for the Northern Link Road through the Matthewsgreen Farm site, which is likely to be determined by the Borough Council in early 2016. It is anticipated that the submission of a further Phase 2 Reserved Matters application will be submitted in Spring 2016.

Construction of the Phase 1 area will commence on site in January 2016. The proposal is to construct the Northern Link Road on-site in 2016, which will allow a construction access from Twyford Road.

This website includes the approved layout of the phase 1 scheme and contact details in respect of on-site construction.
